Join Us for the 2nd International Conference on Clinical and Scientific Advances in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Long COVID

You can attend this conference in person (limited seats) or online via streaming. You can register for both days of the event or just one of the days.

About the Conference

Taking place on November 12–13, 2025, in Porto, Portugal, this conference aims to raise awareness, promote understanding, and stimulate dialogue among healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, patients, and advocates about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Long COVID (LC), and other post-viral fatiguing illnesses.

The growing scale of Long COVID and the far-reaching consequences of ME/CFS demand a coordinated national, regional, and global response. This event will bring together leading scientists, clinicians, and international experts to share cutting-edge biomedical findings, explore the intersection between ME/CFS and Long COVID, and foster innovative research, policy, and clinical initiatives in Portugal and beyond.

Building on the success of the 2024 inaugural conference, this second edition will focus on:

Advanced diagnostic approaches for ME/CFS and Long COVID;
Insights into pathophysiological mechanisms, including neurological, immunological, vascular, and virological perspectives;
Updates on biomedical treatments, clinical trials, and comorbidity management;
Lessons from clinical models for diagnosing and treating ME/CFS and LC.

Designed to address the educational needs of Portuguese healthcare professionals and to strengthen the capacity of the healthcare system, the conference will also highlight clinical and research initiatives developed in Portugal since the first Confrence in 2024.

This hybrid event will be held at the facilities of the Portuguese Medical Association in Porto, with sessions available in English and some in Portuguese. Limited in-person seats are available, and participation is also possible online via streaming.

Joining Us In Person

We welcome as many people as possible to attend the conference in person — but due to limited space, we’ll need to select a smaller group.

In making those selections, we’ll aim for:

Diversidade de trajetórias, experiências clínicas e perfis
Strong representation of people living with these illnesses
Connection to networks or collaborations inspired by the 2024 conference

If we’re not able to offer you a spot in person, you’ll still be invited to join us online — with full access to the sessions and the chance to take part in live discussions.
